Jennifer Collins is the host of the Moving Forward Talk Show. She spent the first forty years of her life as part of a high demand group, the Message of William Branham. Twelve years after leaving the group, she is interested in supporting women from similar backgrounds who are leaving similar groups or who have similar challenges in their lives.
During her childhood, Jennifer attended a one room Amish school and she is still friends with her former classmates. For high school, she studied at home using Christian Light Education. After three years, she went to work teaching in the Amish school she had previously attended, while her former teacher taught the older half of the students in the room next door.
Jennifer studied Elementary Education and earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degrees from Indiana University Southeast after her family moved to Jeffersonville, Indiana, the hometown of William Branham. She spent three more years teaching special education students before starting her own family with her husband, John Collins.
Jennifer homeschooled her three sons until 2023, and her family is still her greatest joy and highest priority. She has worked in Christian ministry frequently through the years, most often teaching or directing children's ministry. For fun, Jennifer enjoys travel, eating in restaurants, reading, and spending time with friends.
Kristi is excited to be a part of the Moving Forward conversation! Now ten years removed from the Message (a high demand group that follows the teachings of William Branham) a lot of moving forward has happened in her life and she is excited to help others continue their journey.
Raised in a conservative family in a Methodist Church, Kristi’s early introduction to Christianity was seasoned with fundamentalism, traditional gender roles, and shaped by charismatic youth ministers who promoted a culture of radical works-based salvation. The introduction and subsequent acceptance of the high-demand teachings in the Message were a fairly painless escalation of the problematic teachings she was receiving as a teen.
Kristi met her husband (who had been born and raised in The Message) while in high school and they have been together ever since! They have three beautiful children and one on the way. After a few cross-country relocations they have settled in Central Florida, where they enjoy the sun, the attractions, and the natural beauty of Florida’s landscape.
Kristi majored in Computer Engineering at Florida State University and spend several years teaching High School mathematics before returning home to raise her kids. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mathematics with the goal of teaching at the college level once her children are older.
Emily is happy to be part of the Moving Forward Talk Show lending her voice and diverse experiences to anyone willing to listen. She is thankful for a platform to continue her quest of encouraging others to step outside of their box and embrace the full potential of their life.
Born and raised in the high-demand group, The Message, Emily made the courageous decision to break away in 2001, forging her own path beyond the restrictions of her upbringing much to the continued chagrin of her family. As the only child, she thrived in a homeschooling environment, cultivating a deep passion for animals and travel from an early age.
Following her heart, Emily pursued a career in veterinary medicine, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician through a non-traditional path and dedicated fifteen years to caring for animals. Her journey took her to Uganda, where she spent five and a half years serving with Christian Veterinary Mission, living amongst semi-nomadic cattle keepers and later teaching veterinary students in a bustling capital city of two million people.
Returning to the United States and the Midwest, Emily transitioned into the family insurance agency, finding stability while continuing her advocacy work. Despite missing the hands-on work with animals, she enjoys no longer being bit, kicked, or scratched. Though she is aware that as she sheds like on important issues through the Moving Forward podcast she is entering the world of abuse from online trolls.
A seasoned speaker at conferences, Emily shares insights from her diverse life experiences, and her unwavering commitment to mental health advocacy. Her passion for mental well-being shines through in every conversation.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Emily enjoys a variety of activities, from kayaking and fishing to exploring different international cuisines and immersing herself in a good book. She is willing to try most things at least once. With her upcoming wedding in September 2024 to a man with two lovely daughters, Emily embraces the exciting journey ahead, ready to continue moving forward with resilience and grace. Join Emily and her cohosts on Moving Forward Talk Show as they explore life's challenges and triumphs together.
